As bad leadership manifests in greater proportion, followership is being recognized as important in not only organizations but also society. Scientific studies similar to those in leadership are likely to assist in undoing the harm caused by bad leadership. Given the central role of theory in science, theoretical perspectives that facilitate the study of followership in organizations seems indispensable. That is the purpose of this book.
