Design is an applied form of art. Just like an artist, designers need a canvas to work with. Starting with an empty canvas unlocks creative energy and allows you to create unique designs.

After learning about the designer and the design process, it’s time to focus on the tools you use as a learning experience (LX) designer (FIGURE 6.1). The Learning Experience Canvas (LX Canvas) is the first, and most important, tool that I will introduce in this book.
