Summary
This chapter covered both bare-bones MPLS Traffic Engineering configuration and information flooding. We described what information is flooded, when this information is flooded, and in what format the information is carried. Now that you have reached the end of this chapter, you have enough information to bring up MPLS Traffic Engineering tunnels in a network. We're not recommending that you dash out and start bringing up TE tunnels quite yet. We have a few more things to cover before MPLS Traffic Engineering becomes useful to you. Chapter 4 covers path calculation and setup, and Chapter 5 covers forwarding traffic down tunnels. After you finish those chapters, you can start intelligently using MPLS Traffic Engineering!
