I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 8. On the Sideline
He also had plenty of time to think about Coach Ken's questions, and being injured made him realize he wanted to play more than ever. He thought of his Momma, his fiancée, Shawna, who he missed terribly, and his family. He knew that he was trying to make the team for them. But playing the game of football was for him. He would do it even if no one paid him. He didn't want to be average. Life was too short to be average. He wanted to be great. He was willing to pay the price—any price.
And as his ankle throbbed and his hand hurt from punching the bench he was sitting on, Martin felt more helpless than he had ever felt in his entire life. Mr. Control was no longer in control. There was nothing he could do to change his situation. He was stuck. All he could do was sit and wait. Wait for his ankle to heal. Wait to get back on the field. Wait to find out if he would make the team or not. And in that moment of helpless desperation, he slouched over and put his head in his hands and silently cried out, "Help me, Help me. Heal me. Heal me. I want to be well."
