C9800 High Availability
High availability (HA) refers to the capability of a network system to maintain uptime and provide service even in case of failure. Typically, this effect is achieved by setting up two or more systems that match capabilities to operate in a load-balanced fashion or in a redundant fashion. Catalyst 9800 wireless LAN controllers—specifically the C9800-L, C9800-40, C9800-80, and C9800-CL on the private cloud (ESXi, KVM and HyperV)—support one-to-one box-to-box redundancy.
