What Is Model-Driven Telemetry?
In Chapter 12, “Network Programmability,” you learned how the data in the Catalyst 9800 (C9800) wireless controller is made available for consumption from software and how the data is structured using YANG models. That chapter focused on the configuration data in the C9800. However, there is another set of information that you can retrieve using the same protocols and data models discussed there: the operational data.
This is a set of YANG models that reflect the internal state of the C9800: number of clients connected, number of APs joined, memory usage, and so on.
