A book like this does not come together without a lot of support. In the case of this book, the original underpinnings are from working with amazing clients (who, for obvious reasons are left anonymous and certain situations have been changed to preserve this anonymity). Alongside the clients, there have been colleagues who helped light the way; while too many to mention, the most notable for IJVs were Chris Lin, Xu Ping, Wang Junfeng, Adrian Xu, Mark Sirower, Cameron Zhang, Gracie Yu and Atticus Zhao. The more research-driven side of the book came from a doctoral thesis where the authors had a lot of support including Monica Franco-Santos (at Cranfield University), Patrick Reinmoeller (at IMD) and Richard Schonberg (Cranfield University, Retired) who served as thesis supervisors. Discussions with Paul Beamish (Western University) were also incredibly helpful.
