I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Civil engineering specializes in design and construction of bridges, roads, buildings, dams, canals, and other infrastructure. Civil engineering is the oldest of the engineering specialties, and some of its principles were already well established during the building of the pyramids in ancient Egypt and aqueducts in Rome. Civil engineering has a number of subspecialties, including environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, municipal or urban engineering, construction, and water resources among them.
