What Is Planning?

Planning is nothing more than deciding in advance what you will do. Shall we move on to the next section? Ah, but if planning is so simple to define, why do we have so much trouble making a plan? The reason is simple: planning is difficult. Properly performed, planning should be one of the most difficult components of any project. Still, just because something is not pleasant does not mean it should not be done. In fact, good planning can make the remaining portion of the project a breeze.
