It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Prickly pears are just as they sound. They are loaded with sharp needles, and their paddles are shaped very much like pears. Their fruits are commonly known as nature’s candy, for they are made into sweets, jams, and festive elixirs. These sharp specimens have a life span of more than 20 years.
