Agave
A type of succulent, agaves can go for months without water, are considered fire resistant, have edible leaves, and produce sweet nectar derived from its sap, which is used in tequila, honey, and syrups. Its tall spikey arms have a lush green color, that are sometimes adorned with red tips.
How to Paint an Agave
The agave is known for its pointed leaves that splay out in all directions. Painting leaves that have length and volume will help shape this succulent plant. You will need to add Prussian Blue toward the base of the leaves to help with contrast against the blue-green color and to create a divide between the layered leaves.
