Part 8. Case Studies

This part presents two case studies that tie together all the topics discussed so far. Chapter 15, “Case Study: Car Parts Supply Chain,” is a business-to-business (B2B) scenario that involves a car manufacturer, a car dealer, and a parts manufacturer. Chapter 16, “Case Study: Ordering Service Parts,” is based on a real business problem in IBM that is being addressed today using the Web services platform. This represents an enterprise integration scenario, which is where Web services are being deployed today.

These case studies show you how to compose the Web services platform components to solve real world problems.
