After you install your client, try to connect to the remote DB server.
6.6.1 Connecting to the remote DB2 server
On the DB2 server side, you configure the instance for TCP/IP communication and port
50002 is opened to allow remote clients to access data. On the client-side, the DB2 instance
is created and the instance name is the same as the user name. You use the installation
wizard to set up the DB2 client. The instance owner’s information and credentials are
provided as step 9 of the installation wizard, and they are shown in Example 6-4 and in
Figure 6-29.
