To say that the Internet has impacted personal and professional communication is a serious understatement. Once iconic print documents such as hardbound encyclopedias and the Yellow Pages have been replaced by online searchable databases. We text instead of talk on the phone. We get our news from Web sites or via feed. Weblog, we e-mail, we podcast. We have a million ways to communicate, and none involves paper.
Clearly we’re on track to print less and communicate electronically more, which means understanding how the Web works and how to use graphic design to communicate visually in this space.
