It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Getting to Know Windows Server 2008
The Windows Server 2008 family of operating systems includes Windows Server 2008, Standard Edition; Windows Server 2008, Enterprise Edition; and Windows Server 2008, Datacenter Edition. Each edition has a specific purpose, as described here:
Windows Server 2008, Standard Edition. This edition, which directly replaces Windows Server 2003, is designed to provide services and resources to other systems on a network. The operating system has a rich set of features and configuration options. Windows Server 2008, Standard Edition supports two-way and four-way symmetric multiprocessing (SMP) and up to 4 gigabytes (GB) of memory on 32-bit systems and 32 GB on 64-bit systems.
