Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) is a central component of the Microsoft Windows platform and provides the means and tools to manage the identities and relationships that make up enterprise network environments. This chapter covers key tasks such as installing the AD DS role on Server Core, managing domain controllers running on Server Core, and working with Read-Only Domain Controllers (RODCs) running on Server Core.
