Chapter 13. Maintaining Server Core

Once you’ve deployed and configured Server Core and installed the roles and features you need on it, you need to maintain the platform. This chapter deals with a number of different server maintenance issues, including managing services, devices and device drivers, processes, and scheduled tasks on Server Core. Also covered in this chapter are event logging, performance monitoring, backup and restore, installing software updates, and installing applications on Server Core.
