7.1 Introduction

Near field capable devices, such as tablets and smartphones are sold everywhere today but seldom used for this purpose. The feature “Tap and Send” is the one mostly employed. For this to function one has to approach two devices in a way that their NFC-antennas touch each other or stay separated for just a few centimetres. The receiving device offers according to different apps selected information, triggers an app or executes a data transfer. This can be controlled by “accept” or “reject” functions.
