You can force the necessary new open of the data set by performing
one of the following
actions:
Perform a double move (set a new owing system and move back the file system to the
original system).
Or, perform a double switch (switch to read-only and then back to read-write).
Afterwards you can successfully add an extension, as shown in Figure 2-80. This is because
the MVS data sets are accessed and opened just as on a normal MOUNT.
