Chapter 16: Cell Search and System Information
Abstract
Prior to transmission of data according to the previous chapters, the device needs to connect to the network. This chapter describes the procedures necessary for a device to be able to find and identify cells to connect to (cell search) and acquisition by the device of the necessary system information.
