Over the past decade, public companies have faced numerous crises from product recalls to financial collapse. Examples of these crises are: bankruptcy (General Motors), product recalls (Takata), fraud (Enron), and corporate illiquidity as a result of the subprime mortgage crisis (Lehman Brothers).
