So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
4. Trendlines and Channel Lines—The Shape of Things to Come
Trends are clearly defined through drawing of trendlines and channel lines. These are among the most basic of indicators, and they bring the trend to life by outlining the slope and duration with great clarity.
Even though the trendline and channel line are easily viewed and understood, they also support numerous related indicators, notably highlighting the differences between retracement and reversal, and how trends are managed by analyzing short-term patterns, such as flags and pennants.
