Monitoring, Verifying, and Troubleshooting Replication
As part of routine maintenance, you need to monitor domain controllers, global catalog servers, bridgehead servers, and site links. If you suspect problems with Active Directory, you should begin your diagnostics and troubleshooting with replication in most cases. By configuring monitoring of Active Directory intrasite and intersite replication, you can diagnose and resolve most replication problems.

Using the Performance Monitor, you can perform in-depth monitoring and analysis of replication and all other Active Directory activities. You open the Performance Monitor by clicking Start, All Programs, Administrative Tools, and then Reliability And Performance Monitor. You ...
