Now that we have some of the basics out of the way, it's time to start having some fun. In this part, I show you how easy it is to use Lightroom to quickly move groups of photos through the production phase of the workflow.
We begin by taking a closer look at the modular design of the Lightroom workspace. Then I take you, step-by-step, through the processes of importing new photos, organizing them, editing and fine-tuning them, and outputting them as a slide show, inkjet print, or Web gallery. I also show you how to export all sorts of files, from Adobe's Digital Negative (DNG) format for raw files to JPEGs for e-mail.
Though the emphasis is on efficiency in this phase, there are also many opportunities to easily add creative touches. I point out some of those creative effects along the way and show you how to save them as presets so they'll be ready to apply next time with the click of the mouse.
