I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
To My Father, Frank Watanabe I have stated in my advanced charting seminars that to be a successful trader, a person must practice discipline and perseverance and learn to follow rules. I dedicate this book to my father, Frank Watanabe, because he demonstrated those qualities to me as a young boy. My father came to America as a young man in his early twenties just before World War II broke out. Although he knew just a few English words, he demonstrated amazing bravery traveling to America in search of fulfilling his dream. He overcame extreme prejudice and adversity to become a very successful business-and family man. I am a product of that environment—an environment of discipline, perseverance, and following the rules of life.
