I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
RTP/RTCP
Real-time Protocol (RTP) is a transport protocol, specifically over UDP, based on RFC 3550. It is used in real-time multimedia applications and in end-to-end real-time data stream transfer. In order to achieve that, a video, for example, goes through a number of steps:
- Encoding
- Packetizing
- Transport Control
- Reassembly
- Decoding
Although RTP is specified to carry the media stream, there is another protocol that works with RTP called Real-time Control Protocol (RTCP).
