DevOps is a set of principles and practices intended to help development and operations collaborate and communicate more effectively. DevOps is truly taking the industry by storm and, in some circles, reaching almost mythical proportions. I hear folks suggesting that DevOps can help solve almost any issue, which given the versatility of its cross-functional approach, is a view that has some merit, but some groups are losing sight of what this methodology is all about and how it can really help us implement the ALM.
