I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

The mainframe is alive and well. Many corporations have been planning the deprecation of their mainframe infrastructure for years, but yet the mainframe continues to be in use. Application lifecycle management (ALM) on the mainframe typically enjoys a specific workflow. Despite a culture that lends itself well to step-by-step defined procedures, ALM on the mainframe often falls short of its potential. Sure, we can specify steps of a process, and everyone accepts that process tollgates are necessary on the mainframe.
