Learning and Development
The Learning and Development functional area encompasses 15 percent of the Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR) exam. This functional area has an important bottom-line impact on any employer organization. Keeping employees’ skills and knowledge current is necessary for maintaining the effectiveness of the organization. Further developing high-performing employees can be vital to organizational growth, helping these employees learn to lead through difficult periods of change. Understanding the techniques and methods for delivering training programs and developing individual employees is what the aPHR will address.
