It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
5.9 SUMMARY
This chapter dealt with some of the basics of psychoacoustics. We covered the absolute threshold of hearing, the Bark scale, the simultaneous and temporal masking effects, and the perceptual entropy. A step-by-step procedure that describes the ISO/IEC psychoacoustic model 1 was provided.
