So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Splitting the Floor Materials
If you have a floor that includes a slab and then you have one single material of, say, vinyl composition tile (VCT) to the entire surface, won't that cause a problem in the restrooms? Better yet, suppose the floor is carpeted? Carpet just never seems to perform well around a toilet!
Adding an Alternate Material
The goal of this procedure is to create a new material layer for the first floor slab, and then specify a new material for the restrooms:
- In the Project Browser, go to the Level 1 floor plan and then zoom in to an area of the east wing similar to the area shown in Figure 6.34.
- Drag a right-to-left selection window around the corner of the building, as shown in Figure 6.34.
