In many institutions and universities, Basic Mechanical Engineering is a compulsory paper for the first year engineering students. This book covers a basic overview of several areas of mechanical engineering. The main purpose to teach Basic Mechanical Engineering to the non-mechanical students is to provide the knowledge of the basic mechanical operations and familiarize the students with the commonly used mechanical machines/instruments.
