It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Extract Week Number from a Date (WEEKNUM)
Syntax: WEEKNUM(t; Day)
The WEEKNUM function is used to convert a date given in any recognizable format into the appropriate week number. You need to specify the first day of the week using an integer number (Sunday is 1, Monday is 2). For example:
=WEEKNUM("2/7/2010"; 2)
returns 5, and
=WEEKNUM("2/7/2010"; 1)
returns 6.
