Chapter 9: Modeling the T-72 Tank Turret
In this chapter, we will create a high-poly turret for our T-72 tank. We will use advanced modeling techniques and we will learn a few new tricks to achieve the highest level of quality and detail. By the end of this chapter, the bulk of our tank will be complete, and we will be ready to move on to the wheels and tracks.

Figure 9.1 shows the current basic shape of the turret. The left picture shows the subdivided mesh, while the right picture shows the wireframe view of the base mesh:
