Chapter 12: Texturing the Tank
In this chapter, we will create materials and textures for the T-72 tank using tools and techniques that we learned previously. By the end of this chapter, the tank will be complete.
We will cover the following topics in this chapter:
- Texturing the turret
- Combining nodes
- Texturing the tracks
Texturing the turret
We will now create a texture for the turret using UV unwrapping and an Edge Mask:
- Create a simple green material for the body of the turret.
The gun and turret details are left out because they are much more intricate than the turret, and they will have different material settings:
