Part V: Building Your Own Blockchain
In this part of the book, I go beyond Ethereum and discuss how to build your own blockchains. This enables developers to bypass the virtual machine and bake application logic directly into the blockchain itself for maximum efficiency. But of course, this type of application blockchain is also much less flexible and adaptable than smart contract-based blockchains.
Using the open source Tendermint framework, I illustrate how to build application blockchains, as well as user-facing applications for those blockchains.
