I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Checking and Troubleshooting Network Connectivity
You can use the ping and traceroute commands to test connectivity to remote devices, and both of them can be used with many protocols, not just IP. But don't forget that the show ip route command is a good troubleshooting command for verifying your routing table, and the show interfaces command will show you the status of each interface.
I'm not going to get into the show interfaces commands here because I've already been over that in Chapter 4. But I am going to go over both the debug command and the show processes command you may need to troubleshoot a router.
