9. Morph Animation and Facial Rigging

In the previous chapters, we learned how to create custom character rigs using bones, bipeds, and CAT tools. In this chapter, we will look at creating facial animation for our characters. We will also learn about the techniques that are primarily used for facial animations:
  • First technique is purely based on morph targets, and this technique is used for close-up shots where only the character’s face is in the frame and not the rest of the body.
