David Hutchens is an author, business writer, and learning designer who creates communication and learning solutions for IBM, The Coca-Cola Company, Walmart, General Electric, Dannon, Nike, and many others.

A nationally recognized developer of innovative learning products, David's work has been recognized with distinctions such as Training and Development's Training Product of the Year, the American Society for Training & Development's (now called the Association for Talent Development) prestigious Excellence in Practice Award, Brandon Hall Gold Award, and more.

He is creator of the Learning Fables—a book series that uses narratives and metaphors to illustrate principles of organizational learning. With titles that include Outlearning the Wolves and Shadows of the Neanderthal, the books have been translated into more than a dozen languages.

In partnership with The Conference Board, he is the creator and lead facilitator of the Team USA Leadership Development Experience, at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, and he is a facilitator of the Apollo Leadership Development Experience at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Johnson Space Center in Houston and Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
