There’s a reason that this chapter is one of the longest chapters in this book: The fashion industry is extremely wasteful and has a lot of room for improvement, and the circular economy is the saving grace of this trillion-dollar industry. Every person on Planet Earth needs and uses textiles, especially for clothing. Fashion is a global enterprise that not only allows individuals to creatively express themselves, but also allows them to maintain level of personal comfort as well. Hot weather, cold weather, wet, dry, humid — whatever the climate conditions are, clothes have been made to specifically maintain comfort and protect the user from the elements.
