Not long ago, a unique command-line interface (CLI) existed for every QoS mechanism.
This meant that if a user wanted to configure traffic shaping and congestion management,
that user had to learn two totally different CLI structures. This made being proficient in the
configuration of all available QoS mechanisms quite a challenge. Fortunately, Cisco IOS
now has a better method for configuring the components of QoS. This new method is called
the Modular QoS CLI (MQC).
