The preceding chapters introduce the help desk concepts needed to pass the CCST IT Support exam. Among other things, we introduce interpersonal skills, documentation, the problem-solving process, LAN, operating system, application, hardware overview, cybersecurity, and other troubleshooting skills. If you have a photographic memory, you may now be ready to take the exam. However, if not, it’s highly recommended that you spend more time studying. Reviewing the exam material will help you identify where you have room for improvement, fill in those gaps, and ultimately pass the exam with flying colors. This chapter provides recommendations for infusing variety and rigor into your exam preparation.
