Chapter 12. OSPF network Command

network ip-address wild-card-mask area area-id

Syntax Description:

  • ip-address—The ip-address in conjunction with the wild-card-mask defines a block of IP addresses. An interface with an IP address that is contained within the defined block is configured to run OSPF in the indicated area.

  • wild-card-mask—Inverse IP address mask used to determine a range of IP addresses.

  • area-id—OSPF area ID. The value can be entered as a decimal number in the range of 0 to 4,294,967,295 or in IP address format in the range 0.0.0.0 to 255.255.255.255.
