The following is a generic use case we can have when including App Engine and Firebase. Let's learn a bit about them:

In the preceding diagram, you can see that we have Firebase. Firebase is a database-as-a-service service in GCP. It provides a backend database to the application. As we can see in the preceding diagram, we have updated the data coming to Firebase from some unknown source; let's assume it's another app. Firebase is receiving the data from that app and processing it with the help of Standard App Engine. Once the data is processed, we transmit the processed data to iOS, Android, and Web.
