For the third edition of this book, we asked contributors to write short case studies and essays instead of one large case study. The case studies are an excellent mix of experiences involving a variety of organizations and contexts.

The first focuses on how to use the model to achieve maturity level 2 and describes the lessons learned when a process improvement project can change course to achieve its objectives.
