This appendix lists the constants provided in the CUPS header files.
The character encoding constants are used by the CUPS API localization functions. The character encoding is read from the message file and stored as a constant of type cups_encoding_t in the cups_lang_t structure. Table C.1 lists the available character encodings.

The CUPS_VERSION constant defines the CUPS API version number as a floating point number:
