When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
About the Author
Sumanta Guha earned a Ph.D. in mathematics from the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, in 1987. From 1984 to 1987 he taught mathematics at Jadavpur University in Kolkata. He left in 1987 to study computer science at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where he earned a Ph.D. in 1991. On graduating from Michigan he joined the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science faculty of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he taught from 1991 to 2002. In 2002 he moved to the Computer Science and Information Management program of the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand, where he taught till 2019.
