This chapter discusses how to implement a subscription-based business idea and presents initial recommendations for action. The findings are based on qualitative interviews with managers of well-known subscription providers (Rudolph, Bischof, Boettger, and Weiler, 2017). We interviewed managers from various subscription companies (food, fashion, and cosmetics). These companies use subscriptions as their basic business model rather than as a means of merely complementing traditional retail activities. Hence, our proposals build on intensive learning.
