2.1 Building Blocks of the IP NGN QoS Framework

This section presents details of the various components that fit into the overall QoS framework, for deployment in a service provider IP NGN infrastructure. Even though this section focuses on providing architectural details that are central to SP IP/MPLS networks, most or all of the components discussed here can be considered relevant to enterprise IP networks (for that matter, any IP network) as well.
