Text Basics
SVG, clearly, has to be able to display and lay out text. Many Web graphics— for example, company logos—make significant use of text. Similarly, various types of artistic text can add design benefits to a range of graphics contained in Web pages. SVG text can have many SVG effects applied to it, such as gradients, animations, and patterns. All SVG graphics designers should understand how to manipulate text in SVG.
